The Friends of DBREV invite students, academics, energy practitioners and any interested members of the public, to attend our annual gathering to meet the current DBREV Scholars and to hear about their projects. 

This year we are also glad to welcome Dr Thembakazi Mali, Senior Manager at SANEDI, Clean Energy Solutions Portfolio (Renewable and Alternative Energy). DBREV is currently supported by funding from GIZ / SANEDI / RECORD.

The recipient of the recently awarded 2014 DBREV Scholarship is Kimenthrie Pillay. She comes from a Science and Environmental Science background, and has enrolled for a Masters in Energy and Development at ERC.  

The 2013 DBREV Scholar is Sean Kirsten who is based in the Economics Faculty.
